Advanced Random Engines
IPERMASSIVE audio-rate granular engine is able to manage up to thousands of grains per second …almost too many… So we developed something that can keep up. It features six Advanced Random Engines that cooperate for every new event’s generation. Introduce unpredictable differences in each grain’s generation by taking advance of its statistic algorithm, finely setting how your sound evolves. We wrapped each one in a compact interface that allows you to tame those events.

Granular synthesis does not have to sound so messy…
As usual… First and second dials set the center value and range of its random deviation, but the best comes at the end: last dial is the real deal! Attraction dial allows you to control how single atoms will be distributed in the set range, clustering the generation closer to or away from the central value. By operating these custom engines IPERMASSIVE gives you incredible precision while working on micro variations, textures, or on massive organic sounds.

Granular synthesis gives you endless paths and possibilities, but sometimes it’s hard to get what you’re looking for. To master all the features of this technique we developed a module that adopts the same controls for each synthesis aspect. IPERMASSIVE user interface is built around the six main random modules that we designed to help you find the feel you seek.
To let you focus on what you want without any influences we followed a more hands-on approach inspired by the look and feel of vintage laboratory equipment operated by past music pioneers. This workstation displays every control in the front panel, suggesting a workflow that lets you slow down and think about it… or move fast and trust your instincts following your ears.

The main engine’s section encloses all the operative settings of IPERMASSIVE audio processing. The multifunction display arranges settings like Quality, Envelope, or Tempo and displays in real-time how the audio engine handles the input signal. Whenever you need it… just switch to the MIDI page. The display will show the internal 4 octaves keyboard and utilities. This page will also allow you to set the functioning of the audio-rate sequencer.
The operative mode controls are collected below the display. The audio engine can be set for low latency real-time processing of the incoming signal or reading user samples as sound source to start with. Differences between the functioning modes drastically influence your approach using the instrument… Whatever you need from performing on a grand piano or building evolving sound ecosystems, to adding unpredictable audio effects on your tracks.
This makes IPERMASSIVE the unique tool you need in every situation.
